FiberSolver

FiberSolver computes the  main scalar (LP) or vectorial (HE, EH, TE, and TM) modes of a step-index optical fiber.

The optical fiber can contain up to five layers.  Each layer can be made of different materials as silica, air, water or Ge-doped silica.

FiberSolver computes :

  1. PuceMode field,

  2. PuceEffective index,

  3. PucePropagation constant,

  4. PuceEffective area,

  5. PuceGroup index,

  6. PuceDispersion,

  7. PuceMode diameter,

  8. PuceModal numerical aperture,

  9. PuceFraction of power in the fiber core,

  10. PuceValues of Bessel functions J, Y, I, K,

  11. PuceSave up to ten fiber profiles.

All these parameters can be calculated for different wavelengths and temperatures.
