FiberSolver
FiberSolver
FiberSolver computes the main scalar (LP) or vectorial (HE, EH, TE, and TM) modes of a step-index optical fiber.
The optical fiber can contain up to five layers. Each layer can be made of different materials as silica, air, water or Ge-doped silica.
FiberSolver computes :
Mode field,
Effective index,
Propagation constant,
Effective area,
Group index,
Dispersion,
Mode diameter,
Modal numerical aperture,
Fraction of power in the fiber core,
Values of Bessel functions J, Y, I, K,
Save up to ten fiber profiles.
All these parameters can be calculated for different wavelengths and temperatures.
